will again be held this year on
Thursday 5th May 2011
If you wish to apply for a Postal Vote
Applications must be received
BEFORE
5 pm on Thursday 14th April 2011
at the Council Offices
In Jumpers Ward you will have
TWO VOTES
plus a vote for the
AV (alternative voting system)
This is not to be confused with
Proportional Voting.
Please read up carefully on what this means for the future
of the ballot system, first past the post, currently in use in England at present
and make up your own mind.
I will not try to persuade you either way
but I am not in general favor of this myself, as it
does not seem to address most peoples request for change, as it is
only a half way measure, designed to keep coalition governments
in office in my own opinion, but please choose for yourself.
