JUMPERS COMMON QEII DEDICATION

JUMPERS COMMON WILL BE DESIGNATED A QUEEN ELIZABETH II OPEN SPACE. SPONSORS INCLUDE THE ASDA STORES WHO WILL BE GIVING AWAY FREE FRUIT TO THE YOUNGSTERS ATTENDING THE EVENT ON TUESDAY 31st JULY at 1pm until 2pm ON THE COMMON WHEN THE MAYOR OF CHRISTCHURCH WILL BE THERE TO OFFICIATE THE DEDICATION AND UNVAIL THE PLAQUE. ALL ARE WELCOME TO COME ALONG FOR A FREE PLAY RANGERS SESSION BETWEEN THOSE TIMES. LOCAL WARD COUNCILLORS AND OTHER DIGNITORIES WILL BE ON HAND. COME ALONG AND JOIN IN THE FUN!

The Olympic Torch Relay is coming through Christchurch 
this Saturday (14th) arriving at 
Iford Bridge at 9.15am, travelling down Barrack Road,
 into the High Street (at around 9.35am), 
down Castle Street and Bridge Street 
and then leaving from Stony Lane at about 9.45am. 

There will be a Fit Christchurch Fun Day 
at Barrack Road Recreation Ground 
from 9am to 3pm.

LUNCH CLUB NEWS

The new Jumpers & Portfield Weekly Lunch Club
held at Portfield Hall
on Thursdays (11.30 doors open for 12 noon).

We are now accepting new registrations.

To reserve your place, phone 01202 482407 before 2:00 pm Monday 23rd January and book your place for this week.

Next Menu: Shepherds Pie, Mixed Vegetable, followed by Spotted Dick and Custard, Tea or Coffee, only £5.00. (special diets available) just book early, but do turn up, or you may be charged.

We had a great number of very happy people who enjoyed the first dinner this week. A number of whom are returning for this week, so they must have enjoyed it, the proof is in the pudding (well the dinner actually), A great meal, excellent company and even a chance to win a prize in the raffle for 20p.

Its a Great Community Event, see for yourselves, you will not be disappointed.
