RB&CHT - CONSULTATION CHRISTCHURCH HOSPITAL

CONSULTATION ON THE REDUCTION OF SERVICES AND FACILITIES AT CHRISTCHURCH HOSPITAL BY THE ROYAL BOURNEMOUTH AND CHRISTCHURCH TRUST.

There has been a Petition against these cuts which has attracted over 1000 signatures in just a few days.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU SIGN IT, IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL SERVICES.

Many People rely on the services at Christchurch Hospital as they have difficulty in traveling to Bournemouth Hospital. Some Buses now do not drop off at the Hospital area so passengers can alight easily, they are dropped off on the opposite side of the road then faced with crossing several lanes of fast moving traffic.

Some of these changes have been put into practice already before the end of the consultation period. You may have read in the Daily Echo about the proposals, this is your chance to have your voice heard.

There will be a public meeting at Christchurch Council Chambers on the 8th March at 6.30pm were the Trust will be present to hear the concerns of local residents and Councillors and give their responses. If you have any concerns let me know. If you can make the meeting, it will show the feelings of our local community.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

Now the work on the Fairmile Road Traffic Lights Crossing is completed, DCC are about to start work on replacing the crossing lights on Barrack Road. This work was scheduled to be done at the same time, but after representation by your Borough Councillor, they decided to stagger the work so both roads would not be affected at he same time.
